Having previously toured the country in 2011, our friends in the Netherlands invited the Choir to return to the towns of Vlissingen, Amersfoort and Nijmegen to perform a programme based upon our recent Christmas CD release: Lux de Caelo: Music for Christmas.

Following a busy term, plus an even busier tour to the USA, this tour was a well-deserved holiday of sorts for the Choir.  The two gorgeous hotels we stayed in – one of which was in the middle of a forest and had a well-stocked bar – allowed for some post-Michaelmas rest-and-recuperation alongside an equally relaxed concert schedule, whilst the day off we were granted part-way through the week gave us the chance to visit and explore the sights and sounds of Amsterdam.

All of our concerts were sold out – as was our plentiful stock of merchandise – which should hopefully guarantee another return to the country within the next couple of years!
