Reviews

"Warm, yet pure-toned emotion pours from these 27 voices, and a fine corps of basses grounds the whole with exemplary gravitas" ★★★★ Choir & Organ

The choir's latest CD, 'Stabat mater dolorosa: Music for Passiontide', will be released worldwide on Monday 10th March.  Following on from last November's 'Veni Emmanuel: Music for Advent', the choir under the direction of Graham Ross turn their attention towards the music of Holy Week, featuring a diverse range of works from Victoria, Lassus and Tallis to Bach, Stainer and Duruflé interwoven with a plainchant rendition of the mournful Stabat mata - the traditional medieval poem meditating on the death of Jesus and the grief of his mother.

Residents of Cambridge can already purchase the CD from Heffers Sound on Trinity St., which is celebrating the release with a special 'stained glass' window display.
