In March 2020 we had been due to travel to Reykjavík, Iceland. As the Covid-19 pandemic hit, it became (at 24 hours' notice) the first of a swathe of cancellations for the Choir over the last 15 months.

Now, at last, the Choir have finally been able to deliver their debut performances at the Hallgrímskirkja, performing their latest programme 'A New Song', Sigurður Sævarsson Requiem, plus music by Finzi, Byrd, Roderick Williams, Langlais, Hjálmar H. Ragnarsson, Snorri Sigfris Birgisson, Lili Boulanger, James MacMillan, Howells and Tryggvi M. Baldvinsson as well as a Morning Mass.

We were fortunate enough to visit some of Iceland's most well known tourist spots including the Blue Lagoon, the erupting volcano and the National Park as well as trying some of the local delicassies including rotted shark flesh!

What a wonderful way to end the 2020-21 academic year, we wish our leavers the very best of luck and thank them for all of their hard work!
