The Choir's Summer UK Tour marked a significant and emotional return for the Choir - our first live concerts in 524 days!

With sell-out concerts in Leamington Spa, Hay on Wye and Crediton, Devon, the Choir enjoyed delivering the programme 'A Place where Angels Sing', performing music across the centuries, from Gibbons' double-choir Ascensiontide anthem and Byrd's Eucharistic masterpiece to traditional spirituals and folksongs from around the world. Interspersed throughout were six fascinating recent choral works from Iceland, including music by Jón Leifs, Ϸorkell Sigurbjörnsson and Anna Ϸorvalldsdóttir.

The Choir then headed on to London to complete six amazing recording sessions of Icelandic music alongside Carolyn Sampson, soprano and the Dmitri Ensemble. We are hugely excited to share our Icelandic Harmonia Mundi album next year.

What a fantastic way to return to live concerts!
