'St. James' Music Series is thrilled to present the Choir of Clare College Cambridge directed by Graham Ross, one of England's most respected choral ensembles. The thirty- voices-strong ensemble of the Choir of Clare College give a complete performance of Tomas Luis de Victoria’s 1605 Requiem, one of the great masterworks of choral music, in St. James' Anglican Church, a choice venue for the repertoire.'

Thirty-two voices-strong, the fresh young vocalists of the Choir of Clare College give a complete performance of Tomas Luis de Victoria’s 1605 Requiem – widely considered one of the last great masterworks of the Renaissance – interwoven with English and Spanish Passiontide motets by Tallis, Byrd, Victoria, and others.'

'The 32 member English choir sings at regular and special services in Chapel, performs at concerts and festivals throughout the world, touring internationally at least twice every year. It frequently performs for BBC Radio, and records for the Harmonia Mundi label, contributing to the Choir’s extensive discography.'

'St. Michael’s is thrilled to welcome The Choir of Clare College, Cambridge, UK, under the direction of conductor Graham Ross, for the second time!
Since the founding of a mixed voice choir in 1972, the Choir of Clare College has gained an international reputation as one of the world’s leading university choirs. In addition to its primary function of leading services three times a week in the College chapel, the Choir keeps an active schedule recording, broadcasting, and performing. Former directors have included John Rutter and Timothy Brown. Under the direction of Graham Ross, Director of Music since 2010, it has been praised for its consistently ‘thrilling’ and ‘outstanding’ performances worldwide.
Although tickets will be for sale at the door, advance online ticket purchase is highly recommended, as the Choir's previous concert was sold out.'

'Since its founding as a mixed voice choir in 1971, the Choir of Clare College, Cambridge has gained an international reputation as one of the leading university choral groups in the world. In addition to its primary function of leading services three times a week in the College chapel, the choir keeps an active schedule recording, broadcasting, and performing throughout the UK and the world.
Under the direction of internationally acclaimed composer and conductor Graham Ross, the choir has toured widely, including in Europe, the United States, Japan, China, Russia, and the Middle East. In 2000 it became the first Oxbridge mixed choir to perform at the BBC Proms, singing Bach’s St John Passion.
We’ve hosted the Choir of Clare College on two previous occasions – and we’re very pleased to welcome them back, this time performing classical and contemporary choral music.'
